Rozlyn’s Story

RozlynSteelman.jpg

Rozlyn was born a bit early weighing about 3 pounds and stayed in the NICU for almost 3 months. Shortly after her birth we found out she has a large piece of chromosome 2 missing. This chromosome deletion causes all kinds of issues for her body- from the top of her head to the tips of her toes. Roz is now 4 years old and has endured 4 surgeries so far, sees 8 specialists, and is reliant upon a feeding tube for nutrition.

Rozlyn is a very determined little girl and despite her medical issues, perseveres daily. She doesn’t let things get her down for long. Roz has learned to walk, climb, take bites of food, give high fives, give kisses, and so much more!

With her medical struggles comes frequent doctor appointments, procedures, and medical equipment. Insurance doesn’t cover everything and max-out-pockets are reached quickly; therefore, we are so thankful for Always Endure and their financial support. In addition to max-out-pocket this year, insurance didn’t fully cover Rozlyn’s wheelchair and assistance from Always Endure helped cover those costs.
