The Kerbo Family

Our third respite vacation for 2025 happened in July. Mr. Kerbo, who has been battling early onset Alheizmer’s, and his wife were selected to go to The Silos for a weekend getaway. However, shortly before the trip, his wife had to make the very difficult decision to admit him into a care facility. When it came time to leave, Mrs. Kerbo was able to to go with her mother. Our respite vacations are for both the major medical patient and their caregiver, who is usually their spouse. They give them time to make memories and take a break during life’s most challenging seasons.

While Ron could not go with me, my mother and I were able to spend some time together this weekend and make some wonderful memories. Thank you as well to Jack Daniel’s Miss Mary Bobo’s [Restaurant] for a wonderful meal.
